Virginia C. Brainard

PAPILLION, Neb. - Virginia C. Brainard, 60, of Papillion, Neb., and formerly of Council Bluffs, died April 3 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

She was born in Columbus, Neb., on Jan. 30, 1943, to John Joseph and Dorothy (Meier) LeClair. She was a 1960 graduate of St. Patrick's High School in Fremont, Neb.

She was a home day care provider for more than 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1983.

Survivors include her mother, who lives in Fremont; one son, Philip and wife, Rachel, of Council Bluffs; two daughters, Teresa Wilson and husband, Eddie, of Council Bluffs and Mary Evans and special friend, Rodney Lee, of Papillion; one brother, John LeClair, of California; one sister, Mary LeClair, of Waterloo, Neb.; three grandsons, Randy Doffin, Joe Wilson and James Brainard, all of Council Bluffs; three granddaughters, Lacey and Amanda Evans, of Papillion and Laura Erickson of Council Bluffs; plus many nieces, nephews and day care children.

Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Chapel.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the chapel with the Rev. Tony Paff officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery followed by a luncheon at St. John's United Church of Christ.

Memorials may be offered to the family.
