Laurence F. Sieburg

Graveside service for Laurence F. "Puss" Sieburg, 81, of Council Bluffs will be Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at Cedar Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Ed Clevenger, pastor of Fifth Avenue Methodist Church, officiating. Military rites conducted by American Legion Post Rainbow Post No. 2. Cortege will leave Cutler-O'Neill Chapel at 12:15 p.m. The service will be followed by luncheon at Elks Club.

Mr. Sieburg died March 30 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital.

He was born Dec. 19, 1921, in Council Bluffs to Lauritz and Julia C. (Nielsen) Sieburg. He was a World War II Veteran of U.S. Navy. He retired in 1981 after 41 years service with the Union Pacific Railroad as a Blacksmith Helper.

Mr. Sieburg was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl, on Jan. 18, 2003. He also was preceded by son, Gary L., on Dec. 4, 2002.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be tonight from 7 to 8 at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home.
