Jack Floyd Christensen

Funeral for Jack Floyd Christensen, 68, of Harlan, will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Pauley-Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Frank officiating.

Christensen died March 20 at his home.

He was born in Harlan and graduated from Harlan High School in 1952.

He was a farmer for 31 years in Shelby County before retiring. After that, he was a salesman for Alloway/Westgo in Harlan, then John Deere in Avoca. He was a part-time employee for Pauley Funeral Home.

He was a member of United Methodist Church and the Harlan High School Athletic Booster.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carol Christensen of Harlan; two daughters, Ann (Dave) Pickrel of Hickman, Neb., and Jill Christensen of Queens, N.Y.; a son, Jay (Suzy) Christensen of Harlan; a brother, James (Carol) Christensen of Loveland, Colo.; two sisters, Barbara Hansen of Oakland, and Joanne (Norman) Mathiasen of Harlan; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family was March 22.

The family will greet friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
