Died: 23 October 1976

Funeral Mass for Josephine Bonfante, 85, 1009 Second Ave., will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Worship Center.

The Rev. Albert Wilwerding, associate pastor, will be celebrant. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Rosary recitation will be at 8 p.m. Monday at the Beem-Belford Chapel.

Mrs. Bonfante died Saturday at a Council Bluffs hospital after a long illness.

She was a native of Mussomeli, Sicily, and a resident of Council Bluffs the past 63 years. She was the widow of Sam who died in 1957.

Mrs. Bonfante was a member of St. Francis Worship Center and its Altar Society.

Survivors include four daughters, Virginia Gagnon of Corpus Christi, Tex., Josephine Wooten of Imperial Beach, Calif., Mary Kilgore, Council Bluffs, and Margaret Garbett of Des Moines; three sons, Joseph and Vincent both of Council Bluffs, and Charles of Bellingham, Wash.; 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
