The funeral for Lee Jacob Reichart, 96, of Paris, Ark., will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home with the Rev. Brad Stovall of United Pentecostal Church officiating.
Mr. Reichart died March 16 in Paris, Ark.
He was born Sept. 5, 1906, in Minden to Jake Reichart and Adelia Hardymartin. He was a longtime Council Bluffs resident. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a laborer for Kimball Laundry for 25 years, and he continued with Max I. Walker Laundry.
Mr. Reichart was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, and a daughter, Dorothy.
Survivors include three daughters, Judy Wiltfong and husband, Evrett, of Paris, Ark., Phyllis Ross and husband, Roy, of Council Bluffs and Mary Ann Brooks and husband, Ted, of Paris, Ark.; two sons, Leroy and wife, Pat, and George and wife, Donna, all of Council Bluffs; 24 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites conducted by American Legion Post No. 2.
