The funeral for David Lee, 80, of Council Bluffs will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Wills officiating.
Mr. Lee died March 13 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.
He was born Sept. 14, 1922, in Crescent to George and Christie (Sturm) Lee.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was the former owner and operator of Lee's Standard, Iowa and Nebraska Sale Barn, Lee's Deeprock and Lee's Market on Fifth Avenue.
Mr. Lee and his wife, Dorothy, were married 62 years.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Frank and son, Jack.
Survivors in addition to his wife include five daughters, Dorothy Ann Heywood and husband, George, Brenda Cross, and Diane Isaacman, all of Council Bluffs, Katherine Bebout of Ogden, Utah, and Connie Palmer and husband, Dan, of Fordland, Mo.; four sons, David of St. Augustine, Fla., Gerald and wife, Suzanne, of Omaha, Virgil and wife, Lori, of Gravitt, Ark., Keith and wife, Shelly, of Council Bluffs; three sisters, Karen Jones, and husband, Tom, of Kansas, Audrey Niewerth and husband, Daniel, of Idaho, Marie Cinderson of California; four brothers, Carroll and wife, Tolora, Bob and wife, Vivian, and George and wife, Kathy, all of Council Bluffs, and Everett and wife, LaVonne, of California; 36 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Grange Cemetery in Crescent with military rites by American Legion Post No. 2.
A luncheon will follow at Ridgecrest Church (Cow Patty's), 20245 250th St.
