The funeral for William Norton Purvis, 80, of Council Bluffs will be Monday at 10 a.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home with the Rev. E.A. Hering officiating.
Mr. Purvis died March 12 in Marshalltown.
He was born in Burlington and served in the military during World War II. He worked at Campbell Soup until his retirement in 1985. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 737.
Survivors include his wife, Goldie M. (Garrison), of Council Bluffs; two daughters, Marcia Purvis and Wilma Marie Biddenstadt, both of Council Bluffs; a son, Darwin, and wife, Regina, of Oakland, Neb.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Omaha.
Memorials may be offered to the William Purvis family.
