In Memory: Norman R. Thomas Jr.

Funeral Mass for Norman R. Thomas Jr., 35, of Council Bluffs was held Friday at 2 p.m. at St, Patrick's Church in Neola with the Rev. Chuck Kottas officiating.

Mr. Thomas died November 27 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

He was born August 15, 1966, in Council Bluffs to Norman and Norma Jean (Andersen) Thomas sr.

He was a 1985 graduate of Tri-Center High School in Neola. He was co-owner of Norms Sewer & Water Co. and worked for the business for over 20 years. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, BREG Group, C.B. Planning Board, NRA, Bass Masters and Anglers Fishing Association.

Mr. Thomas and his wife, Sue (Kay), were married 14 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Ben and Adam, both of Council Bluffs; father and wife, Donna, of Honey Creek; four sisters, Annette Marten of Omaha, Vickie Jenkins and husband, Dan, of Honey Creek, Lorie Simpson and husband, Mark, and Mary Ellen Thomas, all of Denver.

A wake service was held Thursday evening at 7 followed by family visitation until 8:30 at the church. Burial was in Grange Cemetery in Honey Creek, followed by a reception at St. Pat's Hall in Neola. Belford-O'Neill Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be offered to Ben and Adam Thomas Scholarship Fund.
