MISSOURI VALLEY - Dean Alan Hansen, 51, of Honey Creek died Feb. 26 at Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley.

He was born July 30, 1951, in Council Bluffs to Richard and Bernice (Thomas) Hansen. He graduated from the Missouri Valley High School in 1969. He served in the Air Force Reserves. He was married to Sharon Walsh, March 4, 1972, in Missouri Valley. He farmed in the Honey Creek area.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a son, Jeff Hansen, and wife, Kristy LaKin, of Portland, Ore.; a daughter, Jill Hansen, of Des Moines; parents, Richard and Bernice Hansen of Missouri Valley; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gene and Nellie Weldon of Arnolds Park; sister, Janice Guill, and husband, Tim, of Missouri Valley; brothers, Dick and wife, Sarah, of Honey Creek, Brian and wife, Donna, of Honey Creek.

A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. tonight at the First Lutheran Chruch in Missouri Valley. Visitation will follow the prayer service. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at First Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Branson Cemetery in Loveland. Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
