In Memory: William Slobodnik

William P. Slobodnik, 68, of Council Buffs, died July 1, 2000.

He was born in Council Bluffs to Frank and Anna (Pavelich) Slobodnik, graduated from Neola High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. He farmed and was a member of American Legion Post No. 2.

Survivors include a sister, Mary Slobodnik of Malvern; three brothers, Donald and his wife Sharon of Council Bluffs, James and his wife Marilyn of Mount Pleasant, and John of Neola; nieces and nephews.

A wake service and visitation with the family were held Tuesday evening at Beem-Belford Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was planned for Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church with the Rev. Chuck Kottas officiating.

Burial was to be in St. Joseph Cemetery with military rites conducted by American Legion Post No. 2.

Memorials may be offered to the St. Peter's Church Building Fund.
