Arlene K. Christensen

The funeral for Arlene K. Christensen, 87, of Cedar Rapids will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill Chapel in Council Bluffs with the Rev. Howard M. Poff of Light of the Word Church officiating.

Mrs. Christensen died Feb. 20 at Living Center East in Cedar Rapids.

She was born Oct. 21, 1915, in Wausa, Neb., to Carl and Gretchen (Saum) Schmidt. She worked in apartment management.

She was a member of Light of the Word Church.

Mrs. Christensen was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew, on Oct. 16, 1985.

Survivors include two daughters, Ann Heiden of Hampton, Neb., and Arlene E. Fantone of Claremont, Calif.; a son, Charles E. Klug of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; a stepdaughter, Jane Dabbs of Livingston, Texas; a stepson, William Christensen and wife, Sandra, of Springville; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Cedar Lawn Cemetery with a luncheon following at Light of the Word Church, 2801 Fifth Ave.

Memorials may be offered to Light of the Word Church.
