In Memory: Eileen K. Brookover

Funeral for Eileen Kathryn Brookover, 83, of Fremont, Nebraska, was held Monday at 1 p.m. at Holy Family Church with the Rev. Ken Gross officiating.

Mrs. Brookover died July 5 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

She was born in Persia and graduated from St. Joseph School in Neola in 1935. She attended Ottumwa Heights College for two years and retired after teaching first grade at Roosevelt School for 21 years. She was a member of holy Family Church and the Iowa State Teachers Association.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Brookover of Omaha and Kathy Jo Brookover of Fremont; two sons, Michael of Omaha and Patrick and wife, Ann, of Arlington, Virginia; and two grand children.

A rosary service was held Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at Beem-Belford Funeral Home, followed by visitation with the family. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery.
