In Memory: Andrew Mace

Funeral for Andrew M. Mace Sr., 85, of Council Bluffs was held Tuesday at 1 p.m., at Cutler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Becky Killion officiating.

Mr. Mace died July 6 at his residence.

He was a custodian with Burlington Northern Railroad, retiring in 1979 after 27 1/2 years.

He was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church and the Burlington Northern Clerks.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine (Hiles) Mace; two daughters, Katherine Burr and Annette Main, both of Council Bluffs; a son, Andrew Mace Jr., and wife, Karen, of Council Bluffs; three brothers, Fred Mace and wife, Ruth, Harold Anderson and wife, Margy, all of Underwood, and Maurice Mace, of Council Bluffs; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family was held Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Cutler Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial was to be in the Branson Cemetery at Loveland.

Memorials may be offered to the American Heart Association.
