In Memory: Wilma E. Stortenbecker

Funeral for Wilma E. Stortenbecker, 83, of Hancock was held Friday at 1 p.m. at Cutler Funeral Home with the Rev. Linda Butler, Methodist pastor, officiating.

Mrs. Stortenbecker died July 4 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

She was born near Carson on February 19, 1917, to Benjamin F. Potter and Orrie L. Smith Potter. She lived in Omaha before moving to Hancock in 1941. She graduated from Logan High School in 1944. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Methodist Faith.

Mrs. Stortenbecker and her husband, William H., were married June 1, 1940.

Survivors in addition to her husband include two daughters, Linda C. Harris of Hancock and Janet C. Dietz and husband, Billy L., of Nashua; and two granddaughters.

Visitation with the family was held in the evening at the funeral home.

Burial was in Zion Congregational Cemetery at Treynor.

Memorials may be offered to the Minden Rescue Unit or Eckeis Memorial Library in Oakland.
