In Memory: Elma Jensen

Funeral for Elma M. Jensen, 93, a resident of Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn, was held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Shelby Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dale Jensen officiating.

Mrs. Jensen died August 19.

She was born in Shelby and graduated from high school in Shelby in 1925. She attended Iowa State College from 1926 to 1930. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Shelby Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Jensen and her husband, Alvin, were married 50 years.

Survivors in addition to her husband include a son, Robert, of Shelby; and a sister, Helen Gaynor, of Fullerton, California.

Visitation with the family was held Tuesday evening at Knutson Funeral Home in Avoca. Burial was in the Shelby Cemetery.
