In Memory: Suzanne Maguire

Suzanne Maguire, 63, of rural Treynor, died August 31 at her home.

She was born in Omaha, graduated from Omaha North high School in 1955 and moved to Treynor in 1957. She was a homemaker and worked as a cook at Treynor High School for 19 years, retiring in 1997. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Treynor.

Mrs. Maguire and her husband, Roy, were married 43 years.

Survivors in addition to her husband include three daughters, Debra Hines and husband, Neil, of Sioux City and Diane Worthington and husband, John, and Dawne Claussen and husband, Greg, all of Omaha; a son, David, of rural Treynor, her parents, Lawrence and Verna Hooton, of Omaha; a brother, Lynn Hooton, of Omaha; nine grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family was held Saturday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home in Council Bluffs. Funeral was held Sunday at 1 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Treynor with Chaplain Tony Salomone of Methodist Hospital Hospice officiating. Burial was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery at Treynor.

Memorials may be offered to the American Cancer Society or Methodist Hospice.
