In Memory: David Stuhr

Funeral Mass for David L. Stuhr, 47, of Council Bluffs was held Saturday at St. Albert High School with the Rev. John Gertogli, pastor of St. Patrick's Church, officiating.

Mr. Stuhr died February 2 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital.

He was born in Council Bluffs. He graduated from Tri-Center High School in 1970 and from Iowa State University in 1974. He was director of manufacturer relations for Professional Veterinary Products in Omaha for 14 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church and the St. Albert Booster Club.

Mr. Stuhr and his wife, Mary (Colgan), were married 24 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Rachel Brunia and husband, Todd, of Champlin, Minnesota, and Emily Stuhr of Council Bluffs; a son, Joseph, and wife, Jamie, of Council Bluffs; his parents, Douglas and Alice Stuhr, of Persia; a sister, Dianna Reimers, and husband, Ken, of Council Bluffs; and a brother, Douglas, and wife, Fran, of Council Bluffs.

A wake service was held at St. Patrick's Church, followed by visitation with the family. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery. Beem Belford Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be offered to St. Albert Schools, St. Patrick's Church or Alegent Health Mercy Hospital.
