In Memory: Wayne Huebner

Wayne R. Huebner, 52, of Neola, died November 11 at his residence.

Mr. Huebner was born in Harlan on July 6, 1948 to Robert and Catherine (Ohlinger) Huebner. He graduated from Tri-Center High School in 1967 and from Iowa Western Community College in 1973. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a machinist for Omaha Public Power District, and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Neola and the Neola American Legion Post No. 330.

Survivors include his wife, Marlene; daughter Brenda Huebner-Hagen and husband, Dan, of Council Bluffs; son Bryan and wife, Tina, of Council Bluffs; mother Catherine of Harlan; four sisters Clarice Lengemann and husband, Marvin, of Bellevue, LaVonne Turner and husband, Francis, of Council Bluffs, Karen Carlson of LaVista, Nebraska, and Roberta Perth and husband, Mike, of Council Bluffs; two brothers Marvin and wife, Deanna, of Persia and Merle and wife, Alice, of Ankeny; and one grandson.

A wake service was held Monday at 7 P.M. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Neola, with visitation following at 8:30 P.M. Funeral mass was held Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Neola with the Rev. Dan Kirby officiating.

Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post No. 330.
