In Memory: Virginia Vorthmann

Funeral for Virginia K. Vorthmann, 53, of Treynor was held Friday at 2:00 P.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Treynor with the Rev. Jim Little officiating.

Mrs. Vorthmann died February 15 at her home.

She was born in Council Bluffs and graduated from Treynor High School in 1964. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Treynor.

Mrs. Vorthmann and her husband, Stanley H., were married 34 years.

Survivors in addition to her husband include three daughters, Sheryl Pitt of Treynor, Bethany Vorthmann of Chicago and Kristine Cox and husband, Dave of Council Bluffs; two sons, Mitchell and Brandon, both of Council Bluffs; her mother, Marie Klahn of Treynor; three sisters, Shirley Young and husband, Gerald, of Council Bluffs, Jeralynn Rollins and husband, Elwyn, of Treynor and Rogene Baum and husband, Frank, of Omaha; two brothers, Wendell Klahn and wife, Maxine, of McClelland and Terrel Klahn and wife, Deanna, of Treynor; two grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A prayer service was held at Cutler Funeral home, followed by visitation with the family. Burial was in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery at Treynor.

Memorials may be offered to the Treynor Community Center fund or Treynor Ambulance fund.
