Ralph Cunningham

The funeral for Ralph A. Cunningham, 95, of Council Bluffs will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Chapel with the Rev. Ed Clevenger of Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church officiating.

Mr. Cunningham died Feb. 16 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

He was born Sept. 18, 1907, in Norfolk, Neb., to Frank and Lillie Rose (Sunderlin) Cunningham. He moved to Council Bluffs in 1922. He was a 1927 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School, and graduate of Chicago Tech as an architectural draftsman. He was a draftsman for Union Pacific Railroad for 35 years, retiring in 1972. He was a member of Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church. He was an avid bowler for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Floyd in 1901 and Ivan in 1953.

Survivors include close friends and neighbors, Tim and Kim Winner of Council Bluffs.

There will be open visitation at the chapel. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
