Wilma Irene (Peters) Cihacek, age 83, died March 21, 2009, at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital, of natural causes.

Wilma was born November 20, 1925, in Council Bluffs. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, and son, Norman.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Cihacek, of Council Bluffs, Loretta Cihacek and partner Dan Ilko, of Boulder, Colo.; two sons, Larry Cihacek and wife Cecelia, of Honey Creek, Iowa, Ronald Cihacek and partner Susan Hanford, of Arvada, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; three sisters, Florence Law, Thelma Vallier and Shirley Kinney; one brother, Kenneth Peters.

Wake service, Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., followed by visitation with the family until 8:30 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral Mass, Wednesday, 11 a.m., at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Rev. Chuck Kottas, pastor, will be the celebrant. A lunch will immediately follow in St. Peter's Social Hall. Interment will follow the luncheon in Branson Cemetery, Loveland, Iowa. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter's Catholic Church.
