In Memory: Doris Nielsen
(December 3, 1909 - May 19, 2000)

Funeral for Doris F, Nielsen, 90, of Shelby was held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Shelby Methodist Church with the Rev. Walter Bernard officiating. Burial was in the Shelby Cemetery.

Mrs. Nielsen died May 19 at her residence.

She was bon in Shelby and was a 1927 graduate of Shelby High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church of Shelby and Rebekah Lodge #140 of Shelby.

Mrs. Nielsen was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie, on December 5, 1997. They were married 59 years. Two grandchildren; Jodie Lynn and Justin Lee and two daughters in law; Joella and Marianna.

Survivors include two sons, Ted of Shelby and Gary of Eldon; one brother Dean Robinson and wife, Betty, of Harlan and one granddaughter.

Visitation with the family was held Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Knutson Funeral Home in Avoca.
