In Memory: Opal Beaman

Opal Beaman, 89, of Missouri Valley, (formerly of Persia), died January 30 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs.

She was born February 22, 1913, in Magnolia to Fred and Bertha L. (Donnelson) Metcalf. She was married to Howard Beaman on February 21, 1931. She was a homemaker; she did baby sitting and worked at the apple orchards in Woodbine.

Survivors include three daughters, Darlyne F. Mullin and husband, Bill, of Council Bluffs, Donna Bingham and husband, Don, of Janesville and Joan Tufly and husband, Ronald, of Rockford, Illinois; two sons, Howard Beaman Jr. and wife, Mary, of Harlan and Larry Beaman and wife, Bev, of Pasco, Washington; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Funeral was held Saturday, February 1 at First Baptist Church in Missouri Valley. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery.
