In Memory: Clarence E. Rageth

Funeral for Clarence E. Rageth, 91, of Council Bluffs was held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Cutler Chapel with the Rev. Gary Hollers, pastor of Southside Christian Church, officiating.

Mr. Rageth died September 22 at home. He was born March 17, 1910, 4 miles west of Beebeetown to Nicholas and Stella (Bates) Rageth. He formerly farmed in the Harrison and Pottawattamie county areas, moving to Council Bluffs in 1951. Mr. Rageth was millwright supervisor for Peavey-Cargill Elevators, retiring in 1974 after 25 years service. He was a member of Southside Christian Church.

Mr. Rageth was preceded in death by his wife, Laura B. on October 1, 1990.

Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Whitman and husband, Robert, of Perham, Minnesota, and Carol Long of Omaha; two sons, Everett and wife, Kyla, of Council Bluffs and Kenneth Sr. and wife, Lois, of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming; one sister, Verna Fitzsimmons, of Council Bluffs; two brothers, Mervin of Council Bluffs and Bernard and wife, Lorraine, of Beebeetown; 13 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family was held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial was in Grange Cemetery in Honey Creek.

Memorials may be offered to Alzheimer's Association in Omaha.
