In Memory: Edna Hunt

Edna Hunt, 101, of Red Oak died April 27 at the Good Samaritan Care Center.

Mrs. Hunt was born October 7, 1899, in Griswold to Fred and Emma (Geiss) Luzio. She was a lifelong resident of the Montgomery and Mills counties area.

She married Lue Eddie Hunt on March 12, 1919, in Council Bluffs. They lived in Mills County near Glenwood and Silver City until 1950, when they moved to Montgomery County. They farmed until 1987 when they moved to Red Oak.

She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 1990.

Survivors include three sons; Virgil and wife, Nelly, of Red Oak, Keith and wife, Jewel, of Coffeyville, Kansas, and Delbert and wife, Jane, of Underwood; two daughters, Phyllis Bradley, Donna Carlson and husband, Leonard, all of Red Oak; one sister, Doris Tegland of Council Bluffs; 16 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren.

Visitation was held Sunday from 7 to 8 P.M. at Nelson Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak.

Funeral services were held Monday at 10 A.M. at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Gordon Watson officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Hawthorne United Methodist Church or the First United Methodist Church.
