In Memory: Edward Holst

Edward Holst, 86, of Walnut died January 20 at Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan.

He was born in Shelby County. He attended school in Shelby and graduated in 1934. He was a farmer. He was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Walnut.

Mr. Holst was preceded in death by his wife, Luella, on March 2, 1998. They were married 60 years.

Survivors include one daughter, Janis Thompson, and husband, Merlin, of Harlan; two sons, Robert, and wife, Linda, of Walnut and Wayne and wife, Barbara, of Mesa, Arizona; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family was held Wednesday evening at Knutson Funeral Home in Walnut. The funeral will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Peace United Church of Christ in Walnut with the Rev. Doris Ruben officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Cemetery.
