In Memory: Glen H. Dryden

Funeral for Glen H. Dryden, 87, of Council Bluffs was held Monday at 10 a.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home with the Rev. Duane Anunson of Our Savior's Lutheran Church officiating.

Mr. Dryden died April 27 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital.

He was born April 29, 1913, at McClelland in Hardin Township to Ralph and Maude (Hart) Dryden.
He worked for the Seldin Co. as a carpenter for many years and retired after working as a custodian for Council Bluffs Community Schools.

Mr. Dryden and his wife, Verna, were married 56 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include three sons, Bob and wife, Elsa, of Ocean Shores, Washington, Bud and wife, Suzanne, of Summer, Washington, and Danny and wife, Colleen, of Omaha; three daughters, Marilyn Jerke and husband, Robert, of Tacoma, Washington, and Susan Smith and husband, Dave, and JoAnn Prout, all of Council Bluffs; two brothers, Gene and wife, Jessie, of Sarasota, Florida, and Earl and wife, Sharon, of Tacoma; a sister, Lois Wheeler, and husband, Allen, of Portland, Oregon; many grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family was held Sunday at the funeral home. Private family burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
