Mrs. Bertha P. Sewing, 87, formerly of Council Bluffs, died Thursday at a Glenwood rest home after an extended illness. Born at Macedonia, she resided many years in the McClelland and Neola areas and moved to Council Bluffs in 1951. She had been a resident at the rest home for nearly four years.
Mrs. Sewing was the widow of Charles Sewing who died in December 1964. She was a member of the Neola Presbyterian Church. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service. The family suggests memorials to the Glen Haven Rest home at Glenwood.
