Charles Sewing
Funeral Services for Charles E. Sewing, 88, 306 E. Pierce St., will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Cutler Chapel with the Rev. Donald Wooge, pastor of Mount Hope Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Washington Township.
Mr. Sewing died at a local hospital Friday night after a short illness.
He had farmed for many years in the Neola area before moving in 1951 to Council Bluffs. He was a member of the Neola Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include: Widow, Bertha; daughter Mrs. Joe (Grace) Prewitt of Council Bluffs; son , William of Glenwood, brother T.C. Sewing of Council Bluffs; three sisters, Mrs. John McKeown of Harlan, Mrs. Roy Slater of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Fred Grudle of Glenwood; one grandson and three great-grandchildren.
