Mrs. Philopena Obel 1868-1946

Funeral services were held at 2 pm Wednesday, May 1 for Mrs. Philopena Obel at the First Congregational church with the Rev. Ivan Bachtell in charge.

Mrs. Obel died at her home just north of Avoca Monday morning, April 29. She was born August 7, 1868 in Jordan, Minnesota and has made her home here with her daughter, Miss Mabel Obel who teaches in the Avoca school.
