Mrs. Emma H. Hector Taylor
(March 22, 1875 - April 8, 1945)

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma H. Taylor were held from her home in Avoca, Sunday, April 8, with the Rev. A. Howard Lindquist officiating.

Mrs. Taylor died at her home here in Avoca on Friday, April 6th following a short illness although she had been confined to her home as a semi-invalid for many years.

Mrs. Taylor was born the daughter of Henry and Mary Hector on March 22, 1875 on a farm near Avoca. She attended the Avoca Public Schools and was married to John S. Taylor on December 28, 1894. Mr. Taylor preceded his wife in death on October 31, 1941. She leaves to mourn her passing, a sister, mrs. R.D. Walker of Armour, South Dakota; a brother, Carl F. Hector of Biggsville, Illinois, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Music at the last rites was furnished by Mrs. A. Howard Lindquist, accompanied by Mrs. Frank Vierhus. Pall bearers were near relatives of the family. Burial was in the family lot in Graceland cemetery.

Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Avoca Chapter of the P.E.O., and had been a faithful worker in the Presbyterian church all her life.
