Ed Burke

Last week the remains of Ed Burke, a former resident of Avoca, were removed from a receiving vault to a plot in Holy Sepulcher cemetery in Omaha. Mr. burke, a conductor on the Union pacific streamliner, City of Denver, was stricken and died on his train on the trip from North Platte to Omaha on May 2. He was a brother of Dan, John, Tom, and Margaret Burke of Avoca.
