Mrs. Phoebe Ford, aged 59 years, wife of Joseph Ford, who resides north of the city, died at 8 o'clock a.m. yesterday of cancer at the Jennie Edmundson Memorial hospital. She had been ill about ten months, and has been at the hospital during the last seven weeks. Short services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Walter F. Bateman, 1200 East Broadway, after which the remains will be removed to Centerville, Utah, for burial. Surviving are the husband, Joseph Ford; two sons, Joseph Ford, jr., and James e. Ford of Council Bluffs; one daughter, Mrs. Bateman of Council Bluffs; three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Cordon and Mrs. Eliza Ward of Davis county, Utah, and Mrs. Lucy McAvoy of California; one brother, A.Zoss of California.
