Ruby Dora Schlotfeldt
(January 14, 1889 - March 27, 1941)Ruby Scholfeldt was one of the finest women that ever graced it’s portals. A supreme individualist, yet filled with a sense of justice and good will, she was a most loyal friend. No one ever dared say an ill word of any of her friends in her presence. Her life was one of simplicity. She loved to toil in the garden as she always did in her spare time. She loved her family, her school, her friends, her town, and certainly not least her country.
She was a member of the Presbyterian church. She was always willing to help in the hour of need, yet never asked anything in return. We have just lost such a friend and her place will be difficult to fill. If you knew her, you loved her. Her greatest pleasure was in doing for others, yet if you insisted on doing something for her in return she insisted on paying you. With her, principle and honesty were a required virtue. May God give us more women like her. We, her friends, will sincerely miss her.
