Hilda Anna Heesch 1914-1922

Hilda Anna Heesch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Heesch, was born May 30, 1914 and passed away Monday, February 13, 1922, aged seven years, seven months and fourteen days following an operation for appendicitis.

On Monday, February 6, she complained of a pain, but this seemed to pass off and she even thought of going to school the next day, which however was not deemed advisable. Soon the pains returned and were more violent, a doctor was consulted, who pronounced it appendicitis. An operation was performed at the home, by an Omaha doctor, but it was found that the appendix had already ruptured. She was placed under professional care, but little could be done to relieve the severe pain. Our little girl put up a courageous fight for a week but finally her strength gave out and she was relieved from all suffering when she was called from this life Monday, February 13, at three o’ clock p.m.

She leaves to mourn her loss her father and mother, four brothers and four sisters, and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Siemsen of Minden, Iowa.

The funeral services were held Wednesday, February 15, from the First Evangelical Lutheran church with Rev. Kurtz officiating. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the sorely stricken family.
