Bernadine Claire (WISE) BURLEY, age 72, passed away at home in Omaha, NE on Wednesday, October 1, 2008.

Mass of Christian burial was held Saturday, October 4 at St. James Catholic Church in Omaha. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery, in Avoca, IA. John A. Gentleman Mortuary in Omaha was in charge of arrangements

Bernadine Claire BURLE, the daughter of Paul and Beatrice (GROSS) WISE as born on October 11, 1935 in Avoca.
Bernadine was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Arthur A. (Bud) BURLEY; granddaughter Danielle M. BURLEY; parents Paul and Beatrice WISE; and brothers George, Francis and Michael WISE.

She is survived by sons Robert (Judy) BURLEY of Omaha, William (Gui) BURLEY of Great Bend, KS; daughter Michaela (Mark) THOMSEN of Omaha; grandchildren Robert BURLEY, Heather (Rian) HALL, Angela (Mike) PETERS, Brian (Jaime) BURLEY, Michael BURLEY, Louis, Christopher and Gregory BURLEY, Lisa, Jacquelyn and Ann THOMSEN; great-grandchildren Jonathan, Benjamin and Thomas PETERS; sisters Theota (Lonn) NELSEN, Carolyn (Dennis) PIITTMANN [sic], Margie SZADIS, all of Avoca, Paula (Gary) RANDERIS of Audubon, IA; sisters-in-law Charlotte WISE and Connie WISE of Avoca; and aunt Josephine LESLIE of Walnut, IA.
