Last rites for Miss Leta E. Lahl who died at a Council Bluffs hospital Wednesday night following a lingering illness, will be held from the Blust Berthusen funeral home Saturday.

Rev. A. J. Goodson will conduct the 2 pm funeral services and burial will be in Graceland cemetery.

Miss Lahl was born in Davenport on October 12, 1870 the daughter of Fritz Lahl and his wife, Lena Stegeman. She was one of nine children. At the age of four she moved with her parents to the Lahl farm northeast of Avoca. In 1937, she moved to Avoca with her brother, Julius, when they retired from the farm.

Survivors include two sisters: Mrs. Annette Woolridge of Sioux City; Mrs. Hertha Boock of Schleswig, and a brother Julius of Avoca.
