Avocan Shuts Self Up with Motor Running; Tired of Living

Louie Pyttman, 54, retired farmer, killed himself in the garage at his home in Avoca, Iowa this morning. He had brought on death with monoxide gas by shutting himself in the garage, and starting the motor of the car.

Mrs. Pyttmann had discovered her husband missing from h is room at 6 o’clodk. She heard the auto motor running and went to the garage, discovering his body at the back of the car.

A note, written by Pyttmann on the back of an insurance policy envelope, read:
“I do not feel well and I am tired of living so sell everything and make the best of it. I did not sleep and feel awful bad. I hope I will have good luck go goodbye, dear Vena. Get Henry to help you. It is 3:30 o’clock.”
