Hazel M. Harrelson

The funeral for Hazel Marie Harrelson, 94, of Council Bluffs will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. Jesse Isom officiating.

She died Jan. 26 at Maple-Crest Care Center in Omaha.

She was born July 12, 1908, in Bowling Green, Mo., to Sam and Onie (Hammond) Harrelson. She moved to Council Bluffs in 1944. She was an employee at Omaha Cold Storage for 15 years and at Blue Star Foods for 2 1/2 years. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ruby Anderson.

Survivors include two daughters, Nellie Kelley and husband, Wilbert, of Omaha and Mildred Mack of McKeesport, Pa.; son, Reginald Anderson, of Council Bluffs; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Visitation with the family will be Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at the church.

Memorials may be offered to Tabernacle Baptist Church.
