LAST RITES HELD

Last rites for Frank Vierhus, 86, were held from the Blust-Berthusen Funeral Home Thursday, August 14, at 2 pm with the Rev M. A. Banker of the Methodist church in Hancock officiating. Burial was beside his wife in Graceland cemetery here.

Mr. Vierhus was born in Ontario, Canada on May 16, 1861 and passed away at his home in Avoca Tuesday morning, August 12. He was a resident of Avoca for 27 years.

His wife preceded him in death on February 10, 1941. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. E.S. Loomis of Houston, TX; Mrs. W.R. Crouse of Spencer; and a son, Frank of Avoca.
