ALDERMAN GRIFITH DIES SUDDENLY AT HANCOCK

This morning (Thursday) Alderman Griffith pioneer resident of Hancock, died suddenly at his home in that city about 7 o’clock.

Mr. Griffith had a slight attack of pleurisy about a week ago, but had recoved and was feeling fine the past few days.

Alderman Griffith was one of the oldest settlers about hancock, having lived in that vicinity for more than 50 years. He was married to Miss Lizzie Holmes at Montezuma, Illinois, who survives him, also three daughters: Mrs. George Gress, Mrs. Walter McMaster of hancock and Mrs. Clifford Plumb of Henderson, Iowa, and one son, Marion of Hancock, Iowa.
No arrangements have been made.
