Godfred Schickoufsky

Godfred Schickoufsky, 82, 1918 S. 11th Street, died Thursday at a Council Bluffs hospital after an extended illness.

Born in Hazel Dell Township, he resided 35 years in Council Bluffs.

He was a former driver for the Hoagland Lumber Co., and was also a boiler tender at the Iowa School for the Deaf.

His wife Della, died in 1969.

Survivors include: two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Floerchinger and Mrs. Mary Peterson, both of Council Bluffs; three stepsons, Donald Mingus of Council Bluffs, Ervin Mingus of Waterloo and Francis Mingus of Spencer; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Elsie McClellan of Keokuk, and Mrs. Jessie Johnson of Englewood, California, step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 A.M. Saturday at the Meyer Chapel. Richard D. Hogan, pastor of First Christian Church will officiate. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
