Rose L. Profeda, age 85, of Council Bluffs, passed away October 11, 2008, after a brief illness.

Rose was born November 27, 1922, in Pacific Junction, Iowa, to Ralph and Charlotte (Epperson) Storey. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and worked in the credit department for Sears & Roebuck for 37 years, retiring in 1981. Rose is a member of Community Of Christ Church. Rose married Phil Profeda on March 17, 1944.

Phil passed away April 1, 2007. Rose is also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leonard Storey; and sister, Pauline Bryson.

Survivors include brothers, Artie Storey and wife, Darlene, of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Ralph Storey and wife, Emily, of Plattsmouth, Neb., and Bill Storey and wife, Wendy, of Council Bluffs; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, 6 to 8 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral services Monday, 9 a.m., Elder Bill Carlile, Officiant, also at the funeral home. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
