Roger P. Harold (1938-2008)

Roger P. Harold, age 70, went home to be with the Lord, on Tuesday night, surrounded by his family.

Roger was born in Council Bluffs on February 9, 1938, to Leonard and Ruth (Radford) Harold, and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1962 and married Marlene (Plummer) on September 11, 1965. Roger was a telephone installer and repairman for Northwestern Bell-U.S.West for 25 years. He was a member of Heritage Church of the Nazarene, in Papillion, Neb.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Ruth; and nephew, Jason Bennett Harold.

Survivors include his wife, Marlene; son, Phillip Mark Harold and wife Tanya, of Overland Park, Kan.; daughter, Janelle Lynn Anderson and husband Vergil, of Larimore, N.D.; granddaughters, Victoria and Kiley Harold, of Hannibal, Mo., Heather Glaze, of Overland Park, Angelica and Shauna Anderson, of Larimore, N.D.; grandson, Jacob Glaze, of Overland Park; brothers, Douglas Harold and wife Kathy, Kent Harold and wife Marla, all of Council Bluffs.

Visitation with the family, Friday, 6-8 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral services, Saturday, at Heritage Church of the Nazarene, in Papillion, starting with visitation at 11 a.m., followed by a light lunch at 12 noon, followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m., with Rev. Ray Cluff and Rev. Earl Atteberry, officiants. Interment, Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites tendered by American Legion Post #2. Family has suggested memorials to the church and/or Leukemia Foundation. Roger was a faithful husband, father and grandfather. May he rest in peace.
