Colonel Rynold B. Svoboda, Ret., age 88, of Arvada, Colo., passed away October 2, 2008.

Rynold was born on January 16, 1920, in Howells, Neb., and served in the U.S. Army from 1941-1974.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Svoboda.

Rynold is survived by his daughters and son-in-laws, Gail and Donald Lambert, Elaine and Eugene Strasser; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Lynn Svoboda and their daughters, Elizabeth and Abigail.

Funeral service, Monday, 10 a.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Eberhard A. Hering officiating. Interment, Memorial Park Cemetery, with full military honors tendered by the U.S. Army Honor Guard. Memorials may be made on Rynold's behalf to Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
