MISSOURI VALLEY - Mass of Christian Burial for Helen Miriam (Dixon) Glennie, 84, of Mondamin will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mondamin.

Mrs. Glennie died Jan. 25 at home.

She was born April 21, 1918, in Neola to Joseph and Mary (Doyle) Dixon. She attended and graduated from St. Joseph Catholic school in Neola. She spent 10 years in California working for the civil service. She returned to Council Bluffs and worked at Griffin Wheel. She and her husband farmed for more than 40 years and then moved to town in 1991.

Mrs. Glennie was preceded in death by her husband, Edward John. They were married Feb. 20, 1954. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Joe Jr. and Quinton; sisters, Jean, Alice, Gert and Mid.

Survivors include one son, John Joseph Glennie, and wife, Kathy, of Mondamin; grandchildren, Nikolas, Molly and Kylee; sister-in-law, Alyce (Glennie) Kellogg and husband, Howard, of Omaha; special niece; Mary Fustos and husband, Roger, of Little Sioux; many nieces; nephews and friends.

Wake service will be tonight at 7 followed by family visitation at Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley. Burial will be in Calhoun Cemetery in Missouri Valley.

Memorials may be offered to Holy Family Catholic Church or the Mondamin Rescue Unit.
