Vickie Sue (LaChappell) Lee, 48, of Council Bluffs died Jan. 26 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

She was born Feb. 4, 1954, in Omaha to Frank LaChappell and Phyllis Hoffman. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and then received medical receptionist training. She was a medical receptionist. She was a member of Fifth Avenue Methodist Church.

Mrs. Lee and her husband, Byron L., were married 31 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank LaChappell.

Survivors in addition to her husband include one daughter, Sandi Lee, of Council Bluffs; grandson, Cody Doss, of Council Bluffs; mother, Phyllis LaChappell, of Council Bluffs; two sisters, Judy Jackson and husband, Don, and Paulette Thomas and husband, Jim, all of Council Bluffs; one brother, Alan and wife, Peggy, of Council Bluffs; close friend, Debbie Olrich, of Glenwood; aunts; uncles; nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Ed Clevenger of Fifth Avenue Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Garner Township Cemetery with a luncheon at the church.

Memorials may be offered to the American Cancer Society.
