Helen L. Driver

Helen L. Driver, 84, of Council Bluffs died Jan. 19 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

She was born April 21, 1916, in Boomer Township near Honey Creek to Peter and Laura (Nielsen) Peterson. She moved to Council Bluffs in 1971. She was a 1935 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School. She was a homemaker and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Honey Creek. She was a volunteer at Bethany Lutheran Home and Northcrest Care Center.

Mrs. Driver was preceded in death by her husband, Vern E., on June 21, 1989.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Prayer service will be tonight at 6:30 followed by family visitation until 8 at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. David R. Kuhnle of St. John's Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Grange Cemetery, rural Honey Creek, with lunch following at St. John's Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be offered to St. John's Lutheran Church in Honey Creek or Bethany Lutheran Home.
