In Memory: Patrick L. Martin

Patrick L. Martin, 91, of Council Bluffs, formerly of Neola and Imogene, died January 5, 2003 at the Indian Hills Nursing Home.

He was born in Mills County. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He farmed his entire life.

He was a lifetime member of St. Patrick’s Church in Imogene, Knights of Columbus and its 4th Degree Chalice Club, and the Mills county Farm Bureau.

Mr. Martin and his wife, Alice was married 50 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include three daughters, Mary Fischer and her husband John of Neola, Barbara Lundgren and her husband Jerry of Omaha and Katie Daly and her husband Patrick of Clive; four sons, Leo and his wife Sue of Council Bluffs, Paul of Clive, Carl of Omaha and Mark of West Des Moines; three brothers, Gerald of Council Bluffs, Michael of Shenandoah and Tommy of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; and 10 grandchildren.

Rosary recitation was Wednesday at 6:30 P.M. at Cutler-O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home in Council Bluffs. Visitation was to be Thursday from noon to 2:30 P.m. AT St. Patrick’s Church in Imogene.

Mass of Christian Burial was to be at 2:30 P.M. at St. Patrick’s Church in Imogene with the Rev. Dan Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Imogene.

Memorials may be offered to St. Albert Schools, St. Patrick’s Church (Imogene) or Elk Horn Mt. Michael’s.
