In Memory: Florence Pflugshaupt

Florence Piittmann Pflugshaupt, 93, of Walnut died January 2 in Albany, Illinois. She was a lifelong resident of the Hancock, Walnut and Minden area.

She was born I James Township in Pottawattamie County and graduated from Hancock High School.

She was a homemaker and worked at Peace Haven Retirement Home for 14 years.

She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Walnut.

She was preceded in death in 1984 by her husband of 55 years, Harry Pflugshaupt.

Survivors include a daughter, Norma Jean Allman Piittmann and husband, Delman, of Albany; two brothers, Raymond Piittmann of Avoca, Wilbert Piittmann and wife, Kathy, of Oakland; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family was held Monday evening at Knutson Funeral Home in Walnut.

Funeral service was held Tuesday at Peace United Church of Christ in Walnut with the Rev. Randy Allman officiating. Burial was at Walnut Cemetery. Family committal service was at 11 A. M.

There was a celebration of life luncheon at the church following the celebration of life services.

Memorials may be offered to Peace United Church of Christ or Peace haven Retirement Home.

Knutson Funereal home was in Charge of arrangements.
